Camera with SIM card for mobile networks, if there is neither a network connection nor a connection to a WLAN router.
Very suitable for remote buildings that are not connected to the network, such as horse stables, barns, garages, boats or construction sites! The transmission takes place via the mobile network:
The prerequisite for the successful use of the outdoor video surveillance camera is an LTE cover at the installation site, which can be checked very quickly with the smartphone.
Setup and commissioning in a few minutes
Thanks to the P2P technology, the handling of the camera and the mobile radio transmission over 3G and LTE networks is done in no time. The P2P camera remote access is available with the free P2P camera APP "CamHi", which can be downloaded in the Playstore for Android devices and in the Apple Store for iOS devices. The camera is equipped with a SIM card via the camera's own WLAN.
Privacy is very important
If there are locations in the surveillance area that are to be excluded from the video surveillance, the camera offers 4 different privacy zones, which are set arbitrarily. There are 4 independent zones that are set up via the web browser of the LTE camera. These zones are black covered (house entrances, doors, etc)
What do I need for the operation of the camera?
For the camera and sending the camera videos in the mobile network, a SIM card is necessary. The SIM card can be obtained in many telephone shops or supermarkets. So-called prepaid cards are often used, but you can also contact your mobile service provider who will make you an offer for a specific volume of data. There are already offers of 6GB per month for less than 10 €. See our instructions at the bottom of this page for all the instructions on how to set up and operate your camera.
How much data does the camera use?
A simple clue to the amount of data required is a daily video stream of about 5 minutes when using a 1GB per month SIM card. 5GB per month allow accordingly 25 minutes per day. Even 5 minutes a day is enough to send out an alert or to look every now and then to see if everything is alright.
How will I be notified of an incident?
With the Camhi app, which is installed on your smartphone or tablet, the videos can be viewed live. In addition, when the motion detection is activated as an alarm push messages sent automatically to the phone. When you receive the alarm message on the phone, connect to the APP with the camera and immediately see the live situation. Likewise, photos can be sent by e-mail. There are 4 independent zones available for motion detection, which are set as needed. Thus, even objects such as trees and shrubs that move constantly, be excluded from the motion detection.
How do I record the camera images?
A built-in SD card slot accommodates SD cards up to 128GB in size. With this you can record video sequences or alarm sequences after motion detection. If the SD card is full, the camera overwrites the oldest pictures. All videos on the SD card can also be accessed via the APP. Continuous shooting on SD card may cause failures because these types of cards are not designed for permanent use.
Time lapse photography for nature observation and construction progress documentation
An interesting application is the uploading of single photos to an FTP server, which are timed (for example, 5 times per day) to a video clip to film animal and landscape shots in fast motion or to document a construction progress. At the construction site documentation the following values ??turned out to be practicable: 8 pictures per day for a period of 6 months make a 5 minute clip.
Also at night with night vision good shots
Additional night vision lighting is not required, as the camera with SIM card has built-in infrared LEDs, which are seen by the human eye only as a reddish shimmer. The camera sensor, which also works on this frequency, sees the scene as bright as day. Since the IR spectrum is above our visible range and also above the color spectrum, all videos recorded with infrared LEDs are black and white.
If colored videos are required, the installation of white light sources is necessary. Built-in infrared LEDs ensure good night vision illumination. The IR LEDs have a range of about 30 meters. Here is an example video!
Everything in view with the wide-angle lens
The lens of the 3G camera has a focal length of 2.8mm and a viewing angle of about 95°. This also covers larger areas.
Additional features of the camera with SIM card:
Up to 4 users can access the camera simultaneously with the CamHi APP
Use as a WLAN camera and LTE camera, but not at the same time
A variety of settings optimize the use of this camera, but even without the aid of the settings, the camera provides a perfect picture in the default setting.
A very often used application for this camera is the use as a construction site camera. The use as a stable camera for barns, remote garages, animal pastures, cow and horse stables is very suitable.
Here you will find more security cameras with SIM card.
The SD card and also the SIM card are not included in the price.
