The base unit VHW-HWPS-C2 Coax-IP converter offer 2-Channel support and will be installed on the IP network router side and converts the data connection or video connection from the ethernet cable to the coaxial cable, including with PoE function.
It allows you to use the existing coax cable for the data transmission, and no new cable work is required. the best way to save time and money!
Easy Installation (unmanaged), as no additional device configuration is necessary. The simultaneous transmission of the PoE power supply via the coaxial cable allows the installation of PoE devices up to a distance of 500 meter (300 for RG-59 cable and 500 for RG-11 caable).
The connected PoE-capable IP camera does not need to be powered locally. The electrical power (watts) that can be transmitted by the PoE function depends on the type of power supply of the base unit (PoE / PoE + Switch or external 57V power supply) and the length of the transmission path. For more information about maximum power transfer, see the data sheet in the Guides section.
The base unit can be powered by the switch's PoE function or by the optional 57V power supply (VPSU-57V-800-EU).
Note: The camera unit VHW-HWPS-C is required to convert the IP signal into coax and to re-convert it back to IP! So both VHW-HWPS-C and VHW-HWPS-B are requried for a working system! You can also use Units with multiple channels like this one or even bigger (like HIGHWIRE POWERSTAR QUAD).
