Dahua 4-channel surveillance recorder for the connection of 4 IP cameras as a low-cost entry-level solution

The Dahua NVR2104-S2 Recorder is designed for small video surveillance systems that do not contain more than 4 IP cameras.

Monitor connections

A VGA monitor as well as a screen with HDMI input can be used, while simultaneous playback is also possible on both monitors. The surveillance recorder provides a resolution of 19020 x 1080 (Full HD).

No more activities to miss

The built-in motion detection can be very well adapted to the circumstances: There are various fields available that can be set for the "motion detection". In the case of a movement, the recording is automatically started and also sent an alarm. Likewise, manipulation attempts such as twisting or covering the camera are detected.

Flexible recording settings

Recording of the camera signals in different ways: Manual, with calendar function, after movement detection, after alarm. Likewise, a pre-recording can be set to reconstruct the event before the alarm is triggered.

Plug and play without difficult settings

Thanks to the P2P technology, the surveillance recorder is set up in just a few minutes. This technology also allows the integration of smartphones and tablets. Through the Dahua own APP "IMOU" all camera videos can be viewed live on the phone. In case of an alarm (motion detection, sabotage) you will immediately receive a push message on your smartphone. No special router configuration is required for this feature. The "IMOU" APP is available in the Playstore for Android devices and in the Apple Store for iOS devices.

Continuous recording, even if the network is disconnected

This technique is called ANR and starts recording on the SD card in the camera when there is a network interruption. If the network works again, the recordings from the SD card are transferred to the recorder.

Recording capacity surveillance recorder

The device accepts a hard disk (SATAIII) with up to 6TB capacity. With 4 connected cameras and continuous recording 24/7, about 30 days could be recorded. Since the NVR2104-S2 recorder has the H.264 + compression, the disk space is used in the best possible way.

Connection of many camera models possible

The NVR2104-S2 has the ONVIF protocol, so it can manage different camera manufacturers. Since over 90% of all cameras available on the market have this standardized protocol, there are no problems with connecting external IP cameras.
